If you follow international football leagues you might know the format. Keeping in mind all the problems the IPLGovernnning body for the first time has come up with such a mid-season transfer window. By this, the players can switch to teams in this case but obviously, some conditions need to be followed for such transfers.

The IPL transfer window will be available from Match 28 to Match 42. In this period of time, the franchises can transfer only uncapped players and also players who have just played not more than two matches for the respective teams. The teams will negotiate with each other and make the transfer just like in football. But the thing is no Indian player playing two or few matches can be transferred, this is only available for foreign players.

Mumbai Indians who are lingering down the table and finding hard to find a good middle order batsman has agreed with such a new concept.

“The mid-season transfer window will give the teams an opportunity to see what they need in the squad and other teams will also be looking at what players they can get,” Rohit Sharma has said.

“It completely depends on the franchise if a situation comes when we need to get a player or give a player. It is good for the tournament and will add even more value to it,” the skipper added.

Keeping on the rules in mind, franchises may now go for big names and fulfill their voids. Especially the lower teams in the table can now look for replacements to strengthen the team balance.
