During the 44th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Indore, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Chris Lynn walked back to the pavilion after Andrew Tye bowled him in an unusual manner.

Ravichandran Ashwin, captain of Kings XI Punjab, had won the toss and chose to field. Kings XI Punjab included Mayank Agarwal, Aaron Finch and Barinder Sran into their playing eleven in place of Akshdeep Nath, Manoj Tiwary and Marcus Stoinis. On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders brought in Shubman Gill and handed an IPL debut to Javon Searles. Rinku Singh and Tom Curran faced the axe.

Lynn’s unsuccessful attempt of pulling the ball saw him getting bowled.

The Knight Riders’ openers provided them with a swift start in the dry heat of Indore. Both Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine attacked the opposition bowlers form the word go.

It was a revenge from Tye which brought back the Kings XI into the match. Tye was introduced into the attack during the last over of the powerplay. Lynn welcomed him by hitting a towering six straight over his head on the first ball of the over. On the following delivery, Tye dragged the length back as Lynn’s attempt to pull the ball saw the ball lobbing off his thigh to hit his arm and eventually the stumps.

Lynn ended up scoring 27 (17) with the help of two fours and two sixes. Watch the full video:
