With IPL 2018 auction to be coming in a week’s time, the fans and followers are eagerly waiting to know the combinations of their favorite teams. Earlier this month, during the IPL retention event, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) had opted to retain only 2 players: David Warner and Bhuvneshwar Kumar and now they can use only 3 right to match cards in the upcoming auctions.
SRH were excellent in the auction last year investing money in unknown players like Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi. Like KKR, they come into the auction with a fixed plan. They have retained two of their most consistent and effective players – Warner and Bhuvi. Apart from these two cricketers they still have three RTM cards with them, one of which is a no-brainer, Rashid Khan.

He has been highly consistent for his national squad and he is earning a name for himself playing for Adelaide Strikers in the ongoing Big Bash League. However, the choice for the other two RTM cards isn’t that simple.
They would have used their overseas player’s quota by then (Warner and Rashid), so they will have to take a pick of the Indian players. They have the choice of retaining high profile Indian players like Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh, both of whom haven’t been that much effective for the franchise.
They can go for the younger lot of players as well: Siddharth Kaul, Mohammad Siraj, and Deepak Hooda. All these players have been with the national squad of late, and if the franchise wants to form a squad keeping the future in mind, retaining one these players might not be a bad idea.

Now, here is the probable list of the players who could fit in as per SRH’s requirement to buy for in the auction of IPL 2018.
Kane Williamson
Williamson is a sight to watch across all formats as a batsman. At Sunrisers Hyderabad, he never got the chance to play as much as other players. However, he is a great batsman and a great captaincy material as well. SRH will love get him back in the squad with his immense experience.
Trent Boult
With Ashish Nehra getting retired from cricket, the Hyderabad franchise will be in dying need for an experience left-arm pacer. Boult is among the best fast bowlers at the moment. He has quality and we have never seen SRH settling ordinary things.
Shubhman Gill
Not many have heard this cricketer’s name but he is currently becoming a big one, especially in Punjab. Shubman Gill is currently the deputy skipper of India U-19 in the ongoing U19 World Cup. He is known for his attacking brand of cricket and even opened the innings against Zimbabwe in the world Cup. SRH should not shy of bringing this talented teenager to their family.

From the last two seasons, Yuvraj has been with the Hyderabad franchise and played some decent knocks as well and it seems that this time as well the team management will be looking forward to getting him back.
