During the 55th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Delhi Daredevils (DD) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Delhi, Delhi Daredevils’ Prithvi Shaw was seen strolling on the ground which cost him his wicket. Earlier Shreyas Iyer, captain of Delhi Daredevils, had won the toss and chose to bat. Both the teams made a solitary change to their playing eleven. Delhi brought in Liam Plunkett in place of Avesh Khan. Whereas, Mumbai included Mustafizur Rahman for an injured Mitchell McClenaghan.
Delhi Daredevils had once again sent in Glenn Maxwell to open the batting alongside Prithvi Shaw. Rohit Sharma used four different bowlers in the first four overs.
Shaw was dismissed on the first delivery of the fourth over when Maxwell played a Rahman delivery to Hardik Pandya at the point position. After opting for not taking the run, Shaw wasn’t aware of the fact that the fielder had thrown the ball at the non-striker’s end. Not making any effort to return back to his crease, Shaw was found short of the crease when the ball hit the stumps or not.
