In the Qualifier 2 match of IPL 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens (Kolkata) on Friday night. The winner of the match will advance to the final which will be played on this Sunday (May 27) against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai).

In the Qualifier 1 match, SRH suffered a thrilling 2-wicket defeat against CSK in the low-scoring game at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). On the other hand, KKR advanced to the Qualifier 2 after beating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 25 runs in the Eliminator round at Eden Gardens (Kolkata).

Earlier in this season, they met twice and both won their away games. Their first meeting in this season was on April 14 at Kolkata where SRH claimed a 5-wicket victory (with 6 balls to spare).

Their latest meeting was at Hyderabad on May 19 where KKR beat SRH by 5 wickets (with 2 balls to spare).
