During the eighth match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers’ wicket-keeper, Quinton de Kock grabbed a peach of a catch behind the wickets.

Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bangalore captain, had won the toss and chose to field. The first three overs of the innings saw Kings XI Punjab running as they had scored 32-0. Umesh Yadav, who conceded nine runs in his first over, drew first blood for the home team.

On the first delivery of his second over, the fourth of the innings, Yadav induced an outside egde of Mayank Agarwal’s bat. Coming off quickly from the hands of Yadav, the ball flew to de Kock within no time.

However, speed wasn’t the only parameter which the South African wicket-keeper had to tackle. After meeting the edge of the bat, the ball was also going away from him. de Kock put in an acrobatic dive to his left in a bid to catch the ball cleanly and hand his team a much needed breakthrough.

Agarwal, who had disappointed in the first match against Delhi Daredevils, had to walk back to the pavilion cheaply yet again. He ended up scoring 15 (11) with the help of three fours. Watch the full video:
