The renowned Bollywood Actor, Ranveer Singh continues to work in spite of a shoulder injury, however, he will not be performing at this year’s IPL opening ceremony, the actor’s spokesperson said on Monday. According to the recent reports, he has been advised not to overstrain his shoulder, which he injured during a football match. He was scheduled to perform at the grand finale on April 7 event.
In a recent statement, the spokesperson from the team of Ranveer said, After multiple medical check-ups, the doctors have strongly advised Ranveer Singh to not perform at this year’s IPL opening ceremony in which he was doing the finale act. They feel his high-energy performance would only overstrain his shoulder and aggravate the injury.”

However, the ‘Padmaavat’ actor continues to shoot for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ in Mumbai as in another statement, his spokesperson said, “Ranveer Singh has injured his shoulder during a football match and has been advised not to overstrain it for at least one month. Ranveer is, however, not taking any breaks and will continue shooting for ‘Gully Boy’ as per schedule.”

Ranveer was all set to set the stage on fire with his energetic act along with Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Parineeti Chopra on April 7th. According to a report in DNA, Hrithik Roshan is likely to replace the Padmaavat actor in the grand event. Hrithik had earlier performed at IPL opening ceremony in Kolkata in 2015.

Meanwhile, Varun has given hints of his preparations for the grand night. On Instagram, he shared a video while preparing for his energetic dance performance.
