The IPL 2018 has just completed. In the beginning, every team had the dream to lift the trophy, but only Chennai Super Kings succeeded on that mission. In the overall, it was the very entertaining tournament.
Now, we will look at the ratings of each participating team in IPL 2018.
- Delhi Daredevils (4/10)
Delhi Daredevils finished at the bottom of the table with just 10 points as they only managed to win five games. The team continuously failed to choose a proper playing XI and faced the captaincy change in the middle of the tournament. After only one victory in the first six games, Gautam Gambhir stepped down from the captaincy and Shreyas Iyer was selected for that role. Since then, their performances improved a little bit but that was not enough for them to finish in the respectable position.
Batting: Indian youths performed impressively for this team. Rishabh Pant was in the dangerous form while Shreyas Iyer and Prithvi Shaw were also consistent. Vijay Shankar consistently showed some good powerful batting performances in the middle-order while Glenn Maxwell was a super flop with the bat.
Bowling: Trent Boult was impressive while Amit Mishra did well with the times moving. Young Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane was impressive in his first IPL stint but was introduced at the very late moment in the tournament. Other bowlers failed to provide enough support.
