During the 39th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Shakib Al Hasan eventually got Virat Kohli’s wicket after he hit him for 15 runs in the previous over.
After Virat Kohli won the toss and put the home team in to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 146-10 in 20 overs. Their innings was powered by Kane Williamson’s eighth IPL half-century, fifth of this season, which came in a bowler-friendly friendly double-paced wicket.
Shakib was introduced into the attack as the first change bowler in the third over. Picking up the wicket of Parthiv Patel in his first over itself, Shakib further caused damage after he got the bigger scalp of Kohli.
On the third delivery of his second over, the fifth of the innings, Kohli stayed back in his crease to hit a pull shot against a short delivery form Shakib. In a bid to correct his length, Shakib bowled a fuller delivery, to which ran down and played over long-on for a six. The next ball saw Kohli edging the ball for another boundary though the third-man region, collecting 15 runs form the over. Watch the full video:

Shakib bowled the next over as the 10th of the innings. On the penultimate delivery, Kohli got out in not the most best of ways as the ball flew off his leading edge to Yusuf Pathan at short third-man. He ended up scoring 39 (30) with the help of five fours and a six. Watch the full video:
