During the 54th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad ended Sunil Narine’s cameo in a revenge sequence after Narine hit him for a four and a six. After Kane Williamson won the toss and chose to bat, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 172-5 in the allotted quota of 20 overs. Shikhar Dhawan’s 32nd IPL half-century laid the foundation for the others to score big off. However, the Sunrisers would have thought of scoring more than they eventually did.
Opening the batting with Chris Lynn in the second innings, Narine guided the Knight Riders to a flyer, batting in the way that he is known for. Shakib Al Hasan was introduced into the attack as the second change bowler in the fourth over. His first oversaw him going for 12 runs and picking up a wicket.
On the Narine hit a flighted delivery over Manish Pandey at long-on for a six. Watch the video:

On the following delivery, Shakib shortened the length of the ball which leads Narine to mis-time the delivery. With the ball hitting the inside part of the bat this time, it didn’t have the legs to sneak over Pandey as he caught a fairly simple chance. Narine ended up scoring 29 (10) with the help of four fours and two sixes. Watch the video:
