During the seventh match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians at Hyderabad, Shakib Al Hasan was seen abusing after taking his first wicket of the match. His post-wicket celebration was more of aggression than just happiness.

After getting off to a flyer which was initiated by Evin Lewis, Mumbai Indians were brought down in their progress by Siddarth Kaul. In a situation where Indians desperately needed a partnership in a bid to post a substantial total, they ended up losing another wicket.

Shakib Al Hasan picked up the wicket of Krunal Pandya.

Shakib Al Hasan, who was introduced into the attack right after the powerplay ended, picked up his first wicket in his second over, which was also his second one of the match. On the penultimate delivery of the over, Krunal Pandya fell to a soft dismissal against Shakib. Expecting the ball to turn in to him, Pandya closed the face in early. Because the ball didn’t turn that much, it took the leading edge of Pandya’s bat and went straight into the hands of captain Kane Williamson at covers.

The fact that Pandya had hit Shakib for a couple of boundaries in the same over would have made the wicket a lot more important for Shakib. Pandya ended up scoring 15 (10) with the help of two fours. His wicket left Mumbai Indians reeling at 72-4.
