During the 49th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at Kolkata, Kolkata Knight Riders’ Sunil Narine did not waste much time in using the big handle as accumulated 21 overs in the first over of the second innings.

After Dinesh Karthik won the toss and put the visitors in to bat, Rajasthan Royals was seen wasting a sensational start. They crumbled from 68-1 in the powerplay to 142 in 19 overs. Kuldeep Yadav (4-0-20-4) did most of the damage for the hosts.

Adhering to his batting style, Narine was expected to go after the bowlers but not in this way. On the first ball of Krishnappa Gowtham’s over, he hit him for a towering six through the deep mid-wicket region. The next ball saw him hitting a four through the square leg region.

Narine stepped out of his crease to hit the third ball of the over long-on for a six. He hadn’t timed the ball as well as he would have liked but still was able to hit it cleanly over the boundary. The next ball saw Gowtham bowling a flatter delivery which was dispatched by Narine over the cover region.
