During the second Qualifier of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Kolkata, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 14 runs in the 18th over of the innings at the expense of one wicket.

Earlier Dinesh Karthik, captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, had won the toss and chose to field. Kolkata Knight Riders made a solitary change to their playing eleven, bringing in Shivam Mavi in place of Javon Searles. The change means that they are playing with only three overseas players. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad made three changes to their playing eleven. Wriddhiman Saha, Deepak Hooda and Khaleel Ahmed were included in the squad in place of Sreevats Goswami, Manish Pandey and Sandeep Sharma.

Sunrisers’ Carlos Brathwaite hits a six.

Carlos Brathwaite, who had come in to bat at No. 7 in the 17th over, was on strike against Prasidh Krishna, who had opened the bowling alongside Shivam Mavi.

On the fourth delivery of the over, Krishna bowled a juicy full-toss to Brathwaite, who hit the ball well over wide long-on for a six. Watch the full video:

On the penultimate delivery of the over, Nitish Rana’s brilliance found Brathwaite short of his crease at the striker’s end. The batsman had hit a wide yorker towards the third-man area where Rana covered a fair amount of distance before rocketing the ball back to Karthik who dislodged the bails. Brathwaite scored 8 (4) with the help of one six. Watch the video:
