4. Jos Buttler (Rajasthan Royals)

Jos Buttler

While Rajasthan Royals was struggling in this season, English wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler came as a saviour of the team. Since he was promoted to the opening slot, Buttler showed his consistent performances with the bat. With an impressive average of 54.80 and the strike-rate of 155.24, Buttler scored a total of 548 runs in 13 innings. He missed out the last important match for RR as he returned to home due to the international stint and that hugely affected the team as they failed to qualify for the playoffs.

Since Buttler became a regular opening batsman, his lowest score was 39. He was really consistent as he played five consecutive 50+ knocks, the joint most no.of consecutive 50+ knocks for a batsman in IPL history (equalled with Virender Sehwag). Not only he performed consistently, he played big knocks regularly and successfully took the finishing role too.
