2. KL Rahul (Kings XI Punjab)

From the beginning of the tournament, KL Rahul carried the whole Kings XI Punjab batting line-up on his shoulder. The impressive right-handed opening batsman scored a total of 659 runs with the average of 54.91 and the strike-rate of 158.41. He scored total six half-centuries while his best knock was 95* against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur.
From playing the fastest IPL half-century knock (in just 14 balls) to playing season’s slowest half-century knock (in 48 balls), Rahul outstandingly performed according to the situation. However, his effort finally went in vain due to the lack of support from the fellow cricketers.
