The IPL Caravan continued its way in the second week with the excitement reaching new peaks. The competition between the teams increased and we witnessed some stunning individual performances. While Mumbai Indians broke their losing streak of three matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad also had to give up their winning streak of three matches against KXIP.

Rounding the week from 13th April to 19th April, here are the top moments from this week’s action.

5. Umesh Yadav’s Deadly Over

April 13th, Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Kings XI Punjab, Bangalore

At the end of the third over, Kings XI Punjab sat pretty on the total of 32 runs, looking all set to make a huge total. In the next over though, all plans crashed.

Umesh Yadav, sporting a pony, ran in with intent and pace. On the first ball, he bowled slightly outside off-stump to which Agarwal edged. Quinton De Kock leaped and plucked a spectacular catch to dismiss Mayank. Aaron Finch, who returned to the side after marrying earlier in the week, had to come back to the pavilion without scoring a run. He was trapped lbw in front of the stumps.

Yuvraj Singh walked in next. Yadav bowled him a searing short ball, which Yuvraj pulled on instinct. Kohli had specially set a fielder there but he was far away from the boundary ropes. The ball went over the fielder’s head and Yuvraj earned a four.

Next ball to Yuvraj was full and straight. Yuvi was slow to move and paid for it. The ball went through the gate and knocked off the left-hander’s middle stump. Kings XI Punjab suddenly fund themselves languishing at 36/3 after being 32/0. The blows stopped the progress and KXIP ended up with only 155 runs. RCB chased it with four wickets in hand.
