During the 51st match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore scored an imposing 218-6 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.
After Kane Williamson, captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, won the toss and put the hosts in to bat, they lost their openers cheaply in the powerplay. In a situation where Bangalore desperately needed a partnership, AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali stitched a 107-run stand for the third wicket. The partnership came off 57 balls as both the batsmen scored brisk half-centuries.

At the end of the powerplay, the Royal Challengers had scored 44-2 and this was the time when this partnership had started to build. By the halfway mark, they had up the ante, scoring 84-2.
Both the batsmen were on the top of their game and at one point in time looked unstoppable. The 15th over of the innings saw the hosts losing both the set batsmen as Sunrisers made their way back into the match. Colin de Grandhomme, who came in to bat at No. 5 in the 15th over, finished the innings on a high note for his team.
With bowling figures of 4-0-27-3, Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Sunrisers Hyderabad. On the other hand, with bowling figures of 4-0-70-0, Basil Thampi registered this tournament’s most expensive figures. Watch the Twitter reactions:

In between this wicket break, just saw Brendon McCullum run from the dugout to the dressing room to get fresh gloves for Sarfaraz. A super senior running pillar to post, giving it all despite not being in the XI. All with a smile.. Respect. #RCBvSRH

If RCB manage to restrict SRH to 173 or less, they will be ahead of Mumbai Indians on the net run-rate.#RCBvSRH #SRHvRCB #IPL2018
