IPL 2018: Umesh Yadav fires in with a couple of wickets

During the 14th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Mumbai, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Umesh Yadav started in the best possible way for the visitors. The 30-year old right-arm fast bowler picked up two wickets on the first two balls of the match.

Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, had won the toss and chose to field. The visitors had included Sarfaraz Khan, Corey Anderson and Mohammad Siraj in place of Brendon McCullum, Pawan Negi and Kulwant Khejroliya. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians just made a sole change by bring in Mitchell McClenaghan in place of Akila Dananajaya.

Umesh Yadav, who opened the bowling for the Royal Challengers, got purchase from the wicket from the first ball itself. He beat the in-form Suryakumar Yadav to bowled him for a golden duck on the first ball of his over. On the following delivery, Umesh Yadav affected a mirror dismissal of Suryakumar Yadav by dismissing Ishan Kishan.

Rohit Sharma, who walked in at No. 4, denied Umesh Yadav a hat-trick. It was the second time in four matches this season that Umesh Yadav was on a hat-trick. Given his current form, Royal Challengers Bangalore would want him to continue in the same way.
