During the 48th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at Indore, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Umesh Yadav pulled out both the openers Kings XI in one over.

Earlier Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, had won the toss and chose to field. Bangalore fielded an unchanged playing eleven. On the other hand, Kings XI Punjab made two changes to their playing eleven, bringing in Marcus Stoinis and Ankit Rajpoot in place of Barinder Sran and Mujeeb Ur Rahman.

Lokesh Rahul and Chris Gayle, Kings XI’s openers, started on a watchful note, scoring 14 runs in the first three overs. Gayle broke the shackles in the fourth over when he hit three boundaries off Tim Southee’s second over.

Bowling his third over, the fifth of the innings, Umesh Yadav picked up a couple of wickets after conceding a six. On the second delivery of the over, Umesh Yadav tried bowling a back-of-the-hand slower delivery, a half-tracker which Rahul hit with disdain over deep mid-wicket.

On the following delivery, Rahul pulled another short delivery, but this time straight into the hand of Colin de Grandhomme at deep square leg. H scored 21 (15) with the help of three sixes. On the last ball of the over, even Gayle pulled a Umesh Yadav delivery high into the air, only to be taken by Mohammad Siraj at deep square leg.
