Former Indian attacking opener Virender Sehwag remarked Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) all-rounder Manzoor Dar as ‘The batting Baahubali’. In the recent Twitter post, Sehwag introduced him and gave that name.
24-year-old Manzoor Dar has grown up in a remote village of Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district. To support his family, Manzoor once had to leave the school at the early age and worked as a watchman. But now it has changed since KXIP bought him for INR 20 lakh in the 2018 IPL Auction. He is also giving importance to his education as recently he gave the 12th exam and expecting a good result.

Despite struggles and living in poverty, Manzoor has never lost his passion for the cricket.
The right-handed middle-order batsman and off-break bowler Manzoor Dar made the domestic cricket debut in January 2017. While Manzoor has yet to make his first-class debut, he has already played 7 list-A matches and 9 T20 matches for his domestic team Jammu & Kashmir.
In the T20 cricket, Manzoor has brilliant batting strike-rate of around 145 along with 30.83 batting average.
The right-handed batsman is trying to successfully hit the ‘helicopter shot’, which has been famous by the Indian wicketkeeper and former skipper MS Dhoni. Recently, he revealed that he has been practising that shot for two years.

In that post, Sehwag also wrote, “The hero from Kashmir, @pandav_manzoor urf The batting Baahubali. This is during one of our Kings 11 practice matches. Rarely does one have such a following even before playing. He is a true inspiration and this experience will be wonderful for him and inspire a lot of people.”
