During the 19th match of the 11th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Daredevils at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Washington Sundar came back from behind to dismiss Shreyas Iyer after the Delhi batsman hit him for two consecutive sixes in the same over.

Virat Kohli, captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, had won the toss and chose to field. His decision was ably supported by his bowlers as the opposition team’s openers were removed fairly cheaply.

For the Daredevils, Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant consolidated well as the duo stitched a 75-run partnership for the third wicket. It was this pair which laid foundation for a decent innings total.

Sundar dismissed Iyer in his last over.

Their partnership was broken in the 14th over. On the first delivery of Sundar’s last over, Iyer slogged short delivery over the deep midwicket fielder for a six. He followed it up with another six through the same region. The shot had also brought his seventh IPL half-century.

On the penultimate delivery of the over, Sundar took his revenge after Iyer edged a wide delivery to Mohammad Siraj at short third-man. Iyer ended up scoring 52 (31) with the help of seven fours and three sixes.
