India is a country where everyday girl safety and eve teasing is making news at every hour. Even IPL was not kept aside from this. Though there is high security in the stadium, still a woman suffered a  huge embarrassment in the ongoing match between Delhi Daredevils and Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium.

A 24-year-old woman who was enjoying a match with her friends was molested by a man in the stadium. According to  Zonal Deputy Commissioner of Police Manoj Kumar, the man was touching her inappropriately in places. The 26 years old accused is named General Dadulal Satnami. As soon as the woman shouted and raised her voice the security policemen came to rescue. But they had to chase the target for long, about 200 meters before giving up.

Satnami is a resident of South Mumbai’s Masjid Bunder area and he was working by distributing water in the stadium. The incident took place somewhat near Sachin Tendulkar stand. It was during this the corporate lady complained that he was trying to touch her and she was harassed in the crowd. Satnami was held in front of the court and is being jailed under custody for 2 days.

Cricket is entertainment for people and such incidents occurring does really harm the goodwill of society and the game. Thank you to Mumbai Police to take hold of the situation immediately.
