The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the upcoming edition of 2019 has started at Jaipur and it will be engrossing to see how each of the teams finally shape up. Here is what the last year runners-up Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are up to in the auctions.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Before the auction:
Total Players in the squad: 20; Indian 14, Overseas 6
Available Slots: 5; Indian 3, Overseas 2
Purse Remaining: ₹9.70 Crores
Here are the players they bought in the auction:
Wriddhiman Saha
Wriddhiman Saha has been bought by SRH again for a price of ₹1.2 crore. Last year he was bought by Sunrisers for a price of ₹5 crore but they released him before this auction and bought him again for such an economical price. He will play a crucial role in the franchise as he arguably one the best wicket-keepers in India.
It gives us immense pleasure to have you back in our squad for #IPL2019!#OrangeArmy, let's make some noise for @Wriddhipops as he's once again a part of the #BleedOrange brigade.#IPLAuction2019 #SabseKirakHyderabad pic.twitter.com/l6IQnlPPzG

Jonny Bairstow
One of the crucial players of the English cricket team, Jonny Bairstow, who remains to be underrated despite playing some match-winning knocks as an opener in the ODIs for the Three Lions has been bought by Sunrisers by ₹2.2 Crore as they were hunting for the replacement for Shikhar Dhawan. The quality that Bairstow brings to the table is immense and even the franchise would’ve been surprised to see him go for such a moderate price.
#OrangeArmy, let’s warmly welcome the latest addition to the SunRisers
