Every Indian cricket fan’s heart came in the mouth when they saw Jasprit Bumrah in pain during the third game of the IPL 2019 between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals. Indian pacer injured his shoulder on the last ball of Delhi’s first innings and looked in some serious pain. The fitness of Indian players is keenly noticed by everyone as the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 is nearing.
Bowling the last ball of 20th over of DC innings, Bumrah bowled a yorker to Rishabh Pant and stopped the ball in his follow through. While attempting the ball, he fell awkwardly and injured his shoulder. Every player rushed to check him whether he is alright or not.

A sigh of relief came for every concerned fan when the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) gave a clear sight of Bumrah’s injury. Scans of Bumrah’s shoulder looked fine and the board mention he is likely to play for Mumbai Indians in the coming matches.
“Bumrah had some shoulder scans done in the morning and BCCI was kept in the loop. His scan reports were okay. The tests that were done were all those recommended by the BCCI,” he was quoted as saying by Business Standard.
He didn’t come to bat which raised more concern about his fitness but it was a precautionary step by the team management. Meanwhile, Bumrah didn’t travel with MI squad, who headed to Bengaluru for their next game, but will reach there soon.

A BCCI official revealed, “Since the reports came late and the team has already left, he is travelling separately.”
Mumbai lost their campaign opener by 37 runs. Delhi scored a mammoth total of 213 riding on a Rishabh Pant’s special innings, where he scored 78 runs in just 27 balls. His innings featured seven fours and seven sixes. Bumrah wasn’t at his usual best during the match and conceded 41 runs in his four overs.
