The star of India’s U-19 win last year has been a key factor in KKR’s middle-order. However, with the absence of Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine, he was asked to open the innings and did not disappoint. He returned the management’s faith in him with a 39-ball 65 although it went in vain. He was attacking at the top of the order and finished with seven fours and two sixes. He is able to play at any position and that gives KKR enough options with their batting firepower.
