RCB won their first match in this edition as they defeated KXIP by 8 wickets and Kohli had a major role to play in the run chase. He scored a fine 53-ball 67 to take his side to their first victory after having performed previously too, but not getting the required result. This makes them quite confident to take on the Mumbai Indians as they would look to pay back for the match they lost at Bangalore against the same opposition a couple of weeks back.
