He has been the flag-bearer of CSK’s bowling in this IPL season. With 21 wickets in 13 matches at an economy rate of 6.30, he sits second on the wicket-takers’ list behind Kagiso Rabada. His average of 14.8 suggests that he is used to breaking partnerships at regular intervals and therefore is used by MS Dhoni at crucial stages in the match. He has emerged as CSK’s trump card and his experience would be very valuable going into the playoffs.
