Mumbai got the better of KKR twice against the KKR last year and strengthened their record against them. They won at Eden Gardens by a massive 102 runs and registered a 13-run win at the Wankhede in their next face-off. Mumbai missed out on qualifying for the playoffs and finished fifth on the table but KKR defeated Royals in the eliminator against the Royals.
