Kings XI Punjab

KXIP is playing good cricket since the start of the tournament and they could have made it two in two at Eden Gardens. That no-ball because of wrong field placement proved costly and Punjab suffered a defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders. The batting order is scoring run for them but the bowling lineup is looking a bit rusted at the moment.

In their last match against KKR, bowlers conceded too many runs at death overs. Andre Russell took most of the second life and smashed 48 runs in just 17 balls. Punjab’s openers are failing to give them a strong start, which is one of their headaches in the ongoing tournament. In the last match, they made as many as four changes, but they are likely to field with the same eleven in the game against Mumbai.

Probable XI: Chris Gayle, KL Rahul (WK), Mayank Agarwal, David Miller, Sarfaraz Khan, Mandeep Singh, Ravi Ashwin (C), Hardus Viljoen, Andrew Tye, Varun Chakravarthy, Mohammed Shami.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians is fresh from their thrilling win against Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. They won the game on the last ball by six runs and denied AB de Villiers to win it for RCB. Rohit Sharma led their batting chart in that game and he is expected to do the same in Mohali as well. Hardik Pandya was also in good touch and gave them a fighting total against a star-studded batting lineup.

Jasprit Bumrah bowled his heart out in that game and won the man of the match award. He looked fit and lethal as always against RCB. Mumbai is all but likely to field the same playing XI at Mohali’s PS Bindra International Stadium on Saturday evening.
