On Wednesday, the Pakistan government has decided to ban the coverage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Pakistan. A summary in this regard has been forwarded to the cabinet of the government for approval.

As per details garnered, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) will be making sure that ban on IPL coverage must be implemented in its true letters and spirit. A seemingly possible ban means that India’s biggest money-spinner will lose multi-million dollar profitable Pakistani market; second only to India in the cricket world.

The decision has been taken as the aftermath of the ban on coverage of matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India.

On Tuesday, the schedule of the group stages of the 12th edition of the IPL has finally been released by the BCCI with all eight teams playing seven home matches at their respective home venues. The schedule comprises of afternoon matches almost on all the weekends.
