The 12th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) ended with Mumbai Indians (MI) lifting the coveted trophy for the 4th time by defeating Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the finals of the tournament in Hyderabad. Rohit Sharma also became the first player to be involved in five IPL winning squads.
Mumbai won their title by winning a humdinger as they batted first and managed to put 149 runs on the board thanks to Kieron Pollard’s fiery 41* and contributions from Hardik Pandya and Quinton de Kock. Deepak Chahar of CSK was the pick of the bowlers for the CSK, while Imran Tahir and Harbhajan Singh showed once again that the experience always comes in handy.
CSK’s chase was well supported by their veteran opener, Shane Watson, who amassed 80 before being run out in the final over. Faf du Plessis played a good cameo, but the veterans like, Suresh Raina and Ambati Rayudu failed to contribute as even, Dhoni got run-out. In the last ball of the final over, Lasith Malinga had to defend two runs and he got Shardul Thakur out LBW to win the match and the trophy for MI by one run.

Not only the players were tense during the whole match which was no less than a nail-biter. Among the fans, there was a fangirl, who caught on the lenses of the cameraman, who was spotted with a blue kurti and cheering loudly for the Mumbai Indians, waving their flag every time a four or six was hit, or a wicket was taken by MI bowlers.
The cameraperson constantly was seen capturing her reactions much similar to the incident during the RCB and SRH match, when Deepika Ghose, an RCB fangirl was caught on camera dancing and cheering for the Virat Kohli-led team. She became an overnight sensation as her fan following on the social media touched new heights and she has now become a small celebrity as well.
