Despite the wickets of set batsmen, Kane Williamson and Mohammad Nabi kept on smashing Punjab as they added as many as 34 runs for the 4th wicket before the latter getting out in the 19th over of Mohammed Shami owing to a brilliant catch by Murugan Ashwin. On the second ball of the over, Williamson attempted to play the lofted driver over covers but, Ashwin took a brilliant catch by taking both the hands over his head to pluck the ball out of thin air. Shami delivered a slower short ball and Williamson did the mistake.
