According to the latest reports of Cricbuzz, the England and Australia players will not be witnessing any kind of relaxation in the quarantine protocols as they are currently involved in the bilateral series in England, when they arrive in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on September 17 for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020.
It had been argued by some franchise officials, including RCB Chairman Sanjeev Churiwala, that since the players will be coming from a bio-bubble itself in England and will be transported to UAE via a charter plane, there could be scope for relaxing the rules.

As per the reports in Cricbuzz, the schedule was made keeping in mind such strict SOPs and other health measures and therefore would require all the cricketers who will be coming from England to undergo six days of self-isolation on their arrival to UAE. As per the SOPs issued by the IPL Governing Council, the players will have to test negative on Days 1, 3, and 6 to be eligible to join the team.
Provided the players return three negative results for COVID-19, they are likely to be allowed to play after September 24, by when all teams will have played a minimum of one game each, with Mumbai Indians (MI) and Chennai Super Kings playing (CSK) two.
