The 21st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday. Although MS Dhoni and his men have just two wins in five games, in their last game, CSK registered a ten-wicket win against a hapless KXIP side. With the likes of Shardul Thakur and Shane Watson coming out all guns blazing, CSK will go into this game with a lot of confidence and will look to win their third match in IPL 2020.

Chennai Super Kings looked like a well-oiled team when they thrashed KXIP in Dubai. They managed to restrict their opponents to a gettable score before eventually hunting it down with all ten wickets in hand. They are finally looking like a franchise that has won as many as three titles.

CSK will be facing an out-of-shape Kolkata Knight Riders at Abu Dhabi and it is expected to be a mouth-watering clash and neither team will leave any stone unturned to get two crucial points from the match. The track is likely to be the one that will be used in the clash between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals. As surfaces get used more and more, expect teams to prefer batting first.

In Dubai, KKR has opted to play with as many as seven bowlers but with Kuldeep’s axing, they’ve found a better balance with six bowlers and Rahul Tripathi batting at No. 8. Expect no changes from them. If the team decides to bat Narine lower down the order, Tripathi can be expected to bat top of the order.

Probable XI: Shubman Gill, Sunil Narine, Nitish Rana, Andre Russell, Dinesh Karthik (c, wk), Eoin Morgan, Pat Cummins, Rahul Tripathi, Shivam Mavi, Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Varun Chakravarthy.

The CSK think-tank is a firm believer in not making any changes in their squad and after the win over KXIP, it’s highly unlikely they’ll make a change in their combination.

Probable XI: Faf du Plesiss, Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (c, wk), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Sam Curran, Shardul Thakur, Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar.
