The 23rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 will be played between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Friday. RR has won both their previous at the venue but, this will be their third and final match at the venue and it will be a chance for them to keep their hope alive to reach the playoffs as the tournament approaches the half-way stage. However, it will not be easy against DC as they are the hr favorites to win the tournament this season.
For Delhi Capitals, Marcus Stoinis has been playing a crucial role in recent times and he will be determined to hurt opponents again in the death overs. Delhi Capitals’ batting unit has much more depth as compared to that of Rajasthan Royals, with the top and middle order of Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and Prithvi Shaw all contributing.

On the other hand, with the loss of form of Sanju Samson and the lack of support for Jos Buttler in their game against Mumbai Indians, there are key areas of discussion for Steve Smith and his team. Although Rajasthan Royals have an 11-9 head-to-head record against DC, on current form, Capitals will be expected to win the match in Sharjah.
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
With as many as three changes in the last game, RR took some hard calls of removing Robin Uthappa and Unadkat. This may be the closest they’ve come to the most favored XI, without Ben Stokes, who will return for their next game. Yashasvi Jaiswal, although with returns of 6 and 0, but he needs to be backed as an opener. RR is unlikely to make any changes to the side that played against MI.
Probable XI: Jos Buttler (wk), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Steven Smith (c), Sanju Samson, Mahipal Lomror, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Tom Curran, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Kartik Tyagi
Delhi Capitals (DC)
Proving to be one of the strongest teams in the tournament, they seem to have to find the balance in their squad. Although Rahane is forced onto the sidelines because of the performing top order, they don’t want to fix something that isn’t broken. They’d want to persist with the winning combination.
Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer (c), Rishabh Pant (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Harshal Patel, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje
