In the 25th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 two heavy-weights Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will be locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday. Chennai looked like a pale shadow of their past selves and have lost four out of six games. Their experienced batting lineup is yet to find their rhythm after coming out of the lockdown and sometimes found it difficult to get going when in the middle.
The game against Kolkata Knight Riders gave the testimony to CSK middle-order woes. They were well on course to win that game but lost the plot when their set batsmen went back to the pavilion. Despite suffering a shocking defeat, Chennai can retain the same playing XI against RCB.

Royal Challengers Bangalore had started their campaign in the IPL 2020 on a high note. They have managed to win three games out of five matches they have played so far. Bangalore suffered a heavy thumping against Delhi Capitals in their last game. Virat Kohli and his men will be eager to put that defeat behind to focus well on what lies ahead.

CSK have looked more balanced since the return of Dwayne Bravo, but they are in a dying need of change in their batting approach instead of a personnel one. Fleming has staunchly defended the plan of sending Kedar Jadhav at two-drop, anointing him as the designated No.4 batsman. But as their last game against KKR showed, there’s room for some situation-based flexibility.
Probable XI: Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Ambati Rayudu, Kedar Jadhav, MS Dhoni (c, wk), Sam Curran, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Karn Sharma

Chris Morris is fit and ready, which he can be expected to replace someone like Moeen Ali in the XI. Morris’s return also means there’s space for another spinner. If Adam Zampa has recovered from his stomach bug, he should come in for Isuru Udana. If not, Gurkeerat Singh can reclaim his spot in place of Mohammad Siraj.
Probable XI: Aaron Finch, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers (wk), Chris Morris, Shivam Dube, Washington Sundar, Isuru Udana/Adam Zampa, Gurkeerat Singh Mann/Mohammad Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal
