In the 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. RR has won their previous match at the venue owing to a brilliant batting performance by Riyan Parag and Rahul Tewatia against SRH  However, it will not be easy against DC as they are the hot favorites to win the tournament this season.

For Delhi Capitals, Marcus Stoinis has been playing a crucial role in recent times and he will be determined to hurt opponents again in the death overs. Delhi Capitals’ batting unit has much more depth as compared to that of Rajasthan Royals, with the top and middle order of Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan, and Prithvi Shaw all contributing.

On the other hand, with the loss of form of Sanju Samson and the lack of support for Jos Buttler in their game against Mumbai Indians, there are key areas of discussion for Steve Smith and his team. Although Rajasthan Royals have an 11-10 head-to-head record against DC, on current form, Capitals will be expected to win the match in Sharjah.

With Rishabh Pant getting a Grade 1 tear and no expected to miss the reaction for a week or so,  Delhi Capitals might stick with the same combination they used for their previous game as Pant remains unavailable.

Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey, Harshal Patel, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, R Ashwin, Anrich Nortje

They’d have no reason to change a winning combination for the Rajasthan Royals although the batting order could be of interest. However, it will be interesting to see whether Ben Stokes will be opening again?

Probable XI: Jos Buttler, Ben Stokes, Steven Smith, Sanju Samson, Robin Uthappa, Riyan Parag, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Kartik Tyagi, Jaydev Unadkat
