In the 34the match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 Delhi Capitals (DC) will be facing the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Sharjah on Saturday. The Capitals skipper Shreyas Iyer hobbled off the field, clutching his shoulder, and Shikhar Dhawan said that he was in some pain. With Rishabh Pant ruled out for more than a week due to a hamstring injury, DC’s squad depth will be tested.
However, the performances of their bowlers will give the team some confidence. Anrich Nortje has been delivering some fireballs and was the Man of the Match against RR. The spinners have also done very well, with Ravichandran Ashwin’s bowling at his brilliant best becoming a crucial part of DC’s game plan.

CSK managed to win a dominating game against SRH. Batting first for the first time this season, the CSK batsmen showed good intent with the bat. Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni helped them finish strongly, with the move to promote Sam Curran up the order working well. Their bowlers choked the SRH batsmen in the middle overs, with Ravindra Jadeja and DJ Bravo bowling some economical spells.
Delhi Capitals (DC)
Injuries have been a huge matter of concern so far this season. To their credit, Delhi has managed to ride past these setbacks so far. But it’s very unlikely that they have enough of a back-up if they miss out on both Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant. Pant, with protective bands around his thigh, did a few fitness tests ahead of their previous game and looked in good spirits.
Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw, Ajinkya Rahane/Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Marcus Stoinis, Alex Carey/Shimron Hetmyer, Axar Patel, Kagiso Rabada, R Ashwin, Anrich Nortje, Tushar Deshpande
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
CSK might not be looking to make changes in the winning combination, especially after the group put in a win that pleased the captain. Match-ups and the ground dimensions at Sharjah could be a factor if CSK do go on to change. With Delhi potentially having four left-handers in the line-up, the extra leg spinner could make way for a batsman.
Probable XI: Faf du Plessis, Sam Curran, Shane Watson, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Kedar Jadhav/Piyush Chawla, Deepak Chahar, Shardul Thakur, Karn Sharma
