In the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 the Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. In the afternoon game of the double-header game on Saturday, both DC and KKR will be coming into the game after suffering losses in their respective games.

The business end of the tournament is approaching quickly with each passing game and thus the race of the playoffs has also become interesting. KKR has had a mixed tournament so far and will be hoping be more consistent. They changed their captain midway through the season but nothing has been going their way since then. Now they have been affected by fitness issues as well with the likes of Andre Russell and Sunil Narine missing games due to being injured.

On the oother hand, DC has been in a comfortable position right now and they need just one win to virtually qualify for the playoffs. KKR and DC have lcoked horns with each other 25 times so far including once this season. KKR lead the head-to-head record with 13 wins while DC have won 11 times. Their last meeting turned out to be a high-scoring affair with over 400 runs scored during the match.

It’ll be interesting to seen whether KKR will be looking to excluded Pat Cummins if Sunil Narine. Andre Russell’sfitness is another concern for them and in that case Tom Banton will be expecetd to get another chance. It’s going to be an interesting meeting between the think-tank and the captain.

The Capitals are currently in a sutuation where they can afford giving some rest to their key players. Anrich Nortje was rested in the last game, now, they also be looking give some rest to Kagiso Rabada and if not, they dont have many reasons tinker with their XI.
