In the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) will be locking horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.  After three consecutive wins, KXIP is back on the winning ways, but the KL Rahul-led side will now face a stern test against SRH  on the double-header Saturday. Both Punjab and Hyderabad are on eight points but the latter is a spot ahead in the points-table, thanks to their better net run rate.

The two teams now need to win all their remaining games in order to stay in contention for reaching the playoffs. KXIP captain KL Rahul and his opening partner Mayank Agarwal have been in sublime form and the arrival of Chris Gayle has further bolstered their top-order. However, Glenn Maxwell’s consistency remains doubtful as he has not been up to the mark. Mohammed Shami has been exceptional with the ball.

On the other hand, Sunrisers showed their depth in their previous game as, despite the failures of David Warner and Jonny Bairstow, Manish Pandey and Shankar’s gritty knocks helped SRH cross the line. Also, the addition of Jason Holder in the playing XI has boosted their pace attack.

Mayank Agarwal was seen limping off the field after his run out in the last game, but he will be expected to play this game. Punjab could stick to the same winning combination, especially with Glenn Maxwell getting some runs under his belt, even if not at his fluent best.

Probable XI: KL Rahul (c, wk), Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Glenn Maxwell, Deepak Hooda, James Neesham, M Ashwin, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammad Shami.

Jason Holder’s inclusion has not only given SRH yet another reliable bowling option but also strengthened the middle order. Although there isn’t an official word on Kane Williamson’s injury status, SRH would be tempted to retain their winning XI.

Probable XI: David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Priyam Garg, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem/Abhishek Sharma, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan
