In the 48th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 the fans will get to see the first qualifier for the playoffs as Mumbai Indians (MI) locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Wednesday. Both the teams have a single aim to secure the playoff berth as they have won 7 matches out of the 11 games they have played so far, and are currently in the top half of the points table.

The last time when both teams faced each other, the winner of the game was decided after a super over thriller. If RCB manages to win the match, it will be their second win over the defending champions. While for Mumbai, skipper Rohit Shama’s fitness has been a matter of concern for more than a week now.

Having missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, the regular MI skipper returned to the nets on Monday, a day when he was excluded from the India squad for the Australia series. MI is coming into this game on the back of their 8-wicket loss against Rajasthan Royals, this will be RCB’s first game since their loss against Chennai Super Kings CSK.
