Any athlete around requires to practice on a consistent basis in order to stay at their best, and as Indian players have finally started to train in the UAE ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, it would be understandable if some of them take some time to get in full flow, having not been able to train during the lockdown.

On the other hand, Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, Rohit Sharma made it look like he has not missed a single week of training, as he can be seen timing the ball to perfection as he was seen executing a blend of shots in a video shared by the defending champions.

In the video uploaded by MI, Rohit Sharma can be seen playing a square cut, some cover drives, and square cuts in the nets as the team got back to training after serving their quarantine period. Captioning the video, Mumbai Indians wrote: “Pure class. Sheer elegance!” Here is the video of the same:

The most successful IPL franchise reached the UAE on August 21 ahead of this year’s season of the IPL. The team started their training on August 29. The Mumbai-based franchise shared a set of photos and videos from their first training session.

In the video posted by the four-time IPL champions, Rohit was heard saying, “Feels good to be back. Even though it’s only for an hour, but we’ll take it.” Mumbai Indians, who have won the trophy a record four times (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019), are scheduled to lock horns with the last season’s runner’s up Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the first match of the IPL on September 19.

The IPL 2020 is scheduled to be commencing on September 19 and the final of the tournament will be played November 10.
