Having your home ground as a fortress has numerous advantages, and it is a crucial factor in deciding the league’s position of every team. With the IPL season just around the corner, we have a look at the stadiums playing home turfs for our 8 IPL franchises and what we can expect from the pitches and stadiums that will help their home team eventually lift the IPL title.

I.S. Bindra Stadium in Punjab

The Punjabi’s will be in for a treat at Mohali when the team begins their season at home, taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad after traveling to Delhi for their season opener against the Capitals. The Kings will be led by India’s inform batsman KL Rahul with the bowling maestro and Indian spinning legend Anil Kumble in the dugout.

Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi

The iconic Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi now renamed Arun Jaitley Ground as a tribute to the former DDCI president, and India’s RBI governor Mr. Arun Jaitely acts as the home ground for the Delhi Capitals.  Under the young leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the Delhi Capitals have performed well in the last year’s season and will continue to improve under their head coach‎ ‎Ricky Ponting.

Delhi Capital’s home ground has always had a spin-friendly track that will surely influence the team’s starting 11 spots with the team management deciding to play two spinners along with an all-rounder and a part-time bowling option to run through the middle overs of the game.

The average score on the ground is 170, which is quite high compared to others as the Arun Jaitley grounds promises a run feast for the fans.
