The fifth week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has almost managed to decide the qualifying teams for the tournament after the double-headers. While Mumbai Indians (MI) and Delhi Capitals (DC) leading the point table, when out of the four teams in the bottom half of the table have, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is officially knocked-out of the tournament.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have finally managed to get back the momentum.  The riveting action did not fail in providing great action and we witnessed the incredible moments from the IPL.

As an amalgamation of some of the best batting, bowling, and fielding efforts, let us have a look at five of the best moments of the ffith week of IPL 2020. (P.S – It was difficult to choose just five).

#1 Jofra Archer (RR vs MI)

Producing a jaw-dropping moment during the high-voltage clash, RR fiery fast bowler, Archer plucked a stunning catch to dismiss set batsman Ishan Kishan in the 10th over of Mumbai’s innings. In search of a partnership breaker, captain Smith brought back Kartik Tyagi to bowl the 10th over.

Facing the fourth delivery of the over, Kishan decided to go the aerial route but failed to time the ball with perfection and ended up giving away a thick outside edge. Stationed at the third man position, Archer went flying and managed to grab an absolute blinder out of nowhere to send back Kishan.

 

#2 Shikhar Dhawan’s successive tons

Delhi Capitals’ veteran opener, Shikhar Dhawan became the first cricketer in the history of the tournament to score successive centuries. Interestingly, Dhawan scored his first century in earlier editions of the IPL. Dhawan scored centuries against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). In both the innings, he remained unbeaten. While the century against CSK came in a winning cause, DC lost the match against KXIP. The Capitals put 164/5 against Kings XI Punjab, out of which 106 came from Dhawan’s bat alone.
