The Indian Premier League (IPL) auction for the upcoming edition of 2021 has started in Chennai and it will be engrossing to see how each of the teams finally shapes up. Here is what the Delhi Capitals (DC) is up to in the auctions.

#1 Steve Smith – ₹2.2 Crores
DC managed to steak Steve Smith for a low price of just ₹2.2 Crores during the auction. He is one of the best batsmen in world cricket, who lead Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2020. He will be a great addition to the leadership group of Delhi.
#2 Umesh Yadav – ₹1 Crore
The fiery Indian fast bowler, Umesh Yadav was bought by the Capitals for just one crore. Along with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Ishant Sharma, he can be a great backup pacer for the franchise. In IPL 20201, he played just a couple of games for the RCB but failed to take a wicket.
#3 Vishnu Vinod – ₹20 lakhs
The Indian wicket-keeper batsman, Vishnu Vinod was bought back by DC in the auction as they bought him for just ₹20 lakhs. He be will be happy to join the franchise.
#4 Lukman Hussain Meriwala – ₹20 lakhs
The Indian bowler, Lukman Hussain Meriwala was bought back by DC in the auction as they bought him for just ₹20 lakhs. He be will be happy to join the franchise.
#5 M. Siddharth – ₹20 lakhs
The Indian batsman, Sachin Baby was bought back by RCB in the auction as they bought him for just ₹20 lakhs. He be will be happy to rejoin the franchise.
#6 Tom Curran – ₹5.25 Crores
The fiery English all-rounder, Tom Curran attracted bids from SRH and Delhi, but he was eventually bought by DC at ₹5.25 Crores. In IPL 2020, he played 5 games for RR in which he scalped just 3 wickets and scored 83 runs.
#6 Sam Billings – ₹2 Crores
The English wicket-keeper batsman, Sam Billings was bought by Delhi Capitals for ₹2 Crores.
