The first week of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 has finished within no time. The fans witnessed the first doubleheader of the season on Sunday and quite a bit of action in the 11 games played so far. At the end of the week, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) is sitting at the top of the table with winning all their three games. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) is reeling at the bottom of the table as they are still searching for a win after their first three games.

In terms of individual performances, Harshal Patel is donning the purple cap with a tally of 9 scalps and Shikhar Dhawan is wearing the orange cap with a tally of 186 runs in three games. Apart from that, the fans have seen some enthralling performances from the youngsters, some not-so-young players also proved their mettle. In the tournament opener, Harshal Patel made a name for himself when he restricted the Mumbai Indians (MI) from a commanding position of 128/3 after 15 overs as he scalped 5 wickets and conceded just 10 runs in his last three overs. It was the first fifer against MI in 13 years. He carried on his good form in the next couple of games as well.

While Harshal Patel stole the show, other notable uncapped bowlers to have impressed in the week were Marco Jansen, Chetan Sakariya, Arshdeep Singh, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Avesh Khan. While on the batting front, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Deepak Hooda, and Shahrukh Khan are looking in fine form.
