Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders are locking horns in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League 2021 in Dubai. SRH are eliminated from the league while KKR have to win their remaining games to secure the last remaining playoff berth.
Kane Williamson won the toss and opted to bat first. He brought Umran Malik in place of Sandeep Sharma. KKR brought Shakib Al Hasan back in the fray and left Tim Seifert out.

SRH got off to a poor start as Wriddhiman Saha got out for a golden duck. Tim Southee trapped him in front of the wicket and Kane Williamson walked out in the first over of the innings. He and Jason Roy had the responsibility to come good for their team.
Roy also got out cheaply for 10 runs by Shivam Mavi. Williamson, then, went off for a non-existing single and got run out for 26.
SRH kept losing wickets at regular intervals and everyone failed to hang their bat in the middle. Priyam Garg scored 21 runs but they came in 31 balls. Abdul Samad played some lusty shots towards the end during his 25-run knock, which includes three sixes. SRH managed to score 115/8 in 20 overs.
In response, Shubhman Gill took KKR to a flying start. Venkatesh Iyer got out for 8 and Rahul Tripathi also fell soon too. Nitish Rana and Gill rebuilt KKR’s innings and shared 55 runs for the third wicket. Gill got out after scoring 57 runs in 51 balls, where he hit 10 fours. Dinesh Karthik kept his cool and steered KKR home with six wickets in hand.

Good to see a young man like Umran Malik with some serious pace about him.

#KKR have picked the right team for the conditions this time. Three quality spinners have got #SRH marooned.
