In the 20th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday. DC has pulled off three wins out of the four games they have played so far. Although they have faced some personnel concerns with regular skipper, Shreyas Iyer being ruled out of IPL 2021, Delhi has been performing well under Rishabh Pant’s leadership with Shikhar Dhawan enjoying a purple patch with his bat.
Although DC’s ace pacer Kagiso Rabada is yet to fire in IPL 2021, they will start Sunday’s game as favorites. But DC will be facing eh likes of SRH, who won their first game in IPL 2021 earlier in the week against the Punjab Kings. Jonny Bairstow has been the star of the team, but their middle-order has been looking pretty fragile at the moment.

However, The addition of Kane Williamson will be enhancing the SRH’s middle-order, which will help them to win their Chennai leg with a win. Although the Delhi Capitals are the favorites heading into the game, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling attack, which boasts Rashid Khan, will be a tough nut to crack. But with Axar Patel can be expected to come back to the squad, DC will fancy their chances to dominate against SRH in a cracking game of cricket in Chennai.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
David Warner has had starts this season but he has failed to play a big knock. In order to have another crack on Sunday, he will have to get through Ravichandran Ashwin. The latter has had a pretty good record against the southpaw. Kedar Jadhav didn’t get a chance to bat on his debut for SRH, but he can play a crucial role in Chennai. SRH will be missing, T Natarajan, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a knee injury. Abdul Samad is also having a hamstring issue and is unlikely to be rushed back.
Probable XI: David Warner (c), Jonny Bairstow (wk), Kane Williamson, Virat Singh, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Kedar Jadhav, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Siddarth Kaul
Delhi Capitals (DC)
The Capitals will be retaining Steve Smith, who can negate the threat of Rashid Khan, especially on this surface. Avesh Khan has been reliable in the slog overs for the Capitals this season. On current form, Rashid can be a threatening bowler to the vulnerable SRH finishers. Axar Patel has joined the group but with Lalit Yadav and Amit Mishra performing well, the left-arm spinner might not get into the playing XI.
Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Steven Smith, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Lalit Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Amit Mishra, Avesh Khan
