The 31st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday. MI will be high on confidence after registering a stunning win over Chennai Super Kings on Saturday. However, their IPL 2021 campaign hasn’t been smooth sailing, as they have registered four wins in seven games. Rohit Sharma and co. are slowly finding their mojo back, which will increase their chances of qualify for the playoffs.
Although MI’s bowling attack has looked lackluster over the last few matches, they will be depending a lot on Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult to take wickets. On the other hand, SRH is in complete disarray. After a poor start to their IPL 2021 campaign, the team management replaced their captain David Warner with Kane Williamson. But it didn’t go according to plan against the Rajasthan Royals as they succumbed to a huge loss.

SRH will be eyeing a comeback as the loss against Mumbai will be sealing their fate. They will bank on Jonny Bairstow and Manish Pandey in the top-order, with Rashid Khan’s leg-spin being one to watch out for in the game. MI are the clear favorites heading into this game, given their form and superior firepower. In the reverse fixture between the two teams in IPL 2021, MI pulled off a win courtesy of some quality death bowling.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
Kane Williamson failed to use Mohammad Nabi well in terms of his bowling against Rajasthan Royals (RR). Nabi can be expected to be dropped against the marauding MI batters. Jason Holder is likely to return to the XI. Even though Pollard and Hardik are known to murder spin, Rashid Khan’s performance will be giving some boost to the team.
Probable XI: Jonny Bairstow (WK), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson (C), Vijay Shankar, Kedar Jadhav, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed, Sandeep Sharma/Basil Thampi
Mumbai Indians (MI)
If SRH does use Rashid in the powerplay again, then Rohit Sharma and Quinton de Kock will be playing him cautiously. Both have had issues against spin especially early in their innings. POllard can be expected to be promoted up teh order citing his recent performances, but the possibility of Krunal Pandya at 4 cannot be ruled out either.
