In the 35th match of the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will meet old rivals Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Friday (September 24) in Sharjah. It will be the first game of the season at the venue. The pressure will entirely be on the Virat Kohli-led team as they suffered a heavy defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders and need a quick turnaround to safeguard their position in the top four, even though there is no immediate danger for them to come down.

On the other hand, under the captaincy of MS Dhoni, CSK also had to go through some tough passage against Mumbai Indians (MI) before registering a 20-run winner thanks to Ruturaj Gaikwad’s timely fifty and the bowlers’ spotless effort. Chennai right now sits second on the IPL 2021 points table with 12 points, two behind leaders Delhi Capitals (DC).
